Following the Portuguese Society of Authors' 90th anniversary, and as part of it's adaptation policies to meet the new needs of the Portuguese books' industry, it has been created the Department for Supporting the Publishing and Promotion of the Author – GAPPA.

 

With this new service, the Society will grant support to the authors and it's associates in selecting and presenting their work to international publishing houses. It will therefore be responsible for representing them and manage the author's rights.

 

Our field of action is focused on:

 

- Promoting Portuguese works and authors in the international and professional markets;

- Managing the international selling of publishing contracts;

- Identifying financing sources to support the publication of works.

 

While being in close contact with publishers and other book agents that promotes and commercializes selected works from Portuguese authors, we look for developing the international recognition of the Portuguese literary scene and enrich the world literature.
